Camera Won’t Format Memory Card?
i have a kodak Z715 IS and i took a few pictues and when i went to go transfer them to my computer it said camera requires formatting. i clicked continue. then i said formatting will delete everything on memory card and i clicked continue again. but it's not formatting! i can't even use the camera. please help! i have a 2gb sandisk memory card.

When you attempt to transfer your image files from the camera to your computer, you get a notice that you need to format the card?
Are you sure you are using the card or is your camera saving a “few” pictures to your cameras internal memory?
* First avoid all the grief and buy yourself a nice card reader (under $10) and use it to copy your image files to your computer.
* When formatting your card, use the format feature on the camera to do this (it is in the cameras menu), not the computers, especially if you are using a Mac.
