CF memory card

Cf Microdrive Broken Any Way To Fix It? Or Recover Photos On It? If Yes, So Where Do I Go?

CF card, a microdrive refuses to work,but has photos stored on it. Has been shaked, and has a small rattling sound. Is there anyway to recover the images?

    Microdrives are essentially very tiny hard discs so theoretically, it is possible to recover the data if you are willing to pay through your nose e.g. you can have the damaged microdrives platter removed and read directly.
    Most of the time it wouldn’t be worth the time and money.
    On a side note, many microdrives when shaken do rattle a little due to the moving parts. Just tried mine (a 2gb hitachi and yup, small rattling sound) so your’s might not be that beyond recovery. Try accessing it via a pc (or a different one) and cross your fingers.

    you could open it to find out what the rattle is. If it is the hard drive itself, you are probably in trouble.
