Set My Digital Camera To Original Default. Images Disappeared From Card After That? Can They Be Retrieved?

have casio Z1000 10.1 digital camera. While using had problems resetting the color, so set back to original default settings. Photos taken prior to that with SD card disappeared. Can they be retrieved and if so, how?

There are programs that will bring back any images that have not been overwritten. THey are like the ones that recover lost files from regular disk drives. They use the fact that the pictures are stored in files reached through a directory. Even if files are deleted they are still on the card even if they are called “erased” by their directory.
I use the “Disk internals /flash-recovery” program to do miracles of recovery if I screw up and kill a file that I need.
