Canon Powershot Sd1000,i Pressed Format Memory Card By Mistake, now All My Pictures Are Gone!what Do I Do?help!

when a card is formatted, the images on that card are usually not recoverable. But I don't get it, how could you accidentally format...on my camera, the format option is deep in the menu, plus it asks you one last time if you want to format. Just curioius if you thought it meant something else.

Do Lexar Premium Series 80x Cf Cards Have Any Problem With The Canon Cameras?

The shouldn't have any problem with your camera. They are one of the premier CF card makers .. San Disk and Kingston are the other two top shelf memory cards
Some issues with Canon cameras is that only a few of the very top cameras like the 5D, Mark II and 1Ds, Mark III have the necessary firmware to use the speed of UDMA supported cards.

Can I Use A Mini Sd Card And Adapter In My Canon A540 Digital Camera?

I need to make an emergency purchase for a memory card for my camera. I just found out that its working again and i want to take it with me on my trip at the end of this week but i am pressed for cash. The mini sd card ones that fit into the normal size adapter slot seem to be cheaper on ebay. The mini alone will not fit my camera but the size of the adapter will, how do i know if this will work for my camera?

Is It Possible To Buy A Replacement Cf Card Reader To Install One’s Self On A Canon Rebel? If So Where?

I am looking at buying a canon rebel XTI from someone. They are selling it because they bent a pin in it and don't want to mess with it (must be nice to spend that much on something and not have to care) Any way I want to know if I can buy a replacement and install it myself. I am buying the camera for $200, I've read that to send it off to Canon would cost $150-$200 to have them fix it. I have also heard that you can bend the pin back sometimes (no often....but worth a try) any one have any advise.
Thanks in advance.

Err Cf On Canon Rebel Card… Help!?

I was shooting an event and I was looking through my shots and turned my camera off. When I turned it back on it displayed "ERR CF" on the screen and even after I put the card into another Rebel, I get the same reader. What is wrong with it? Will a card reader read the card. Is there any way for me to get those shots back?????
Thanks in advance!

How To Fix Canon Eos 450d Not Recognising Cf Card?

That depends on *why* it isn't recognizing the card.
It can be bent or broken pin in the card reader portion of the camera.
It can be the card is bad.
Take a flashlight and look into the card reader... make sure all the pins are there, and they are all straight. If one is missing, you can't fix it. Canon would have to do that. If one is bent, you might be able to straighten it, but it is easy to break off the pin in the process.
Once you verify that the card reader is intact, you need a known good CF card. Not the one with the problem, a different one. Try it in the reader. if it works, the other card is bad. If it doesn't, then the problem lies in the camera electronics, and Canon will have to sort it out.
