Do you like these custom Removable Drive (CF. MS, SD, SM, etc) icons for my Rosewill RCR-102 Card Reader?

I've asked everyone this, but either they don't know or haven't tried it out, but can iPod (the video one) be used as a memory stick or flash drive? I.e. Can I put my homework on there, so just files and folders I don't want sitting in my desktop PC? Thanks.

It is only about 8 months old. Have been keeping stuff on it and deleting as little as possible, thinking this would prolong its life. So should you keep as little on as possible to prolong its life?
It's formatted as vfat, so file allocation table must get written to a lot - buggering it. If I made a lot of partitions on it, each would have their own allocation table, would they? And if one partition got buggered I could change to another - lengthening the drive's life??

I know that USB flash drive of 16 gb already exist.I like any Giga monster space device that is small enough to save space on my school bag with many gig of space.
I don't wich one have the GB size record among those two categoryy and wich one is faster.I think it's less cumbersome to have a 8 gb MicroSd on your phone than to have a flash USB on your pocket that you could loose or forget somewhere.

My digital camera card was full as well as internal memory inside camera & camera stopped working. I have a mediaGear XtraDrive, model: MGXS-11-U Thumb Drive. I downloaded all photos to computer and need to know how to delete memory card and memory in camera (Samsung Digimax S500). I am a beginner if you can't tell already and manual for camera does not address this function. I'm confused and frustrated and have searched the net. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

I just got the idea that if I knew what I was doing, I could take apart an X-Box 360 memory card and somehow wire it up to have a female end or a USB port on it. If I could do that I could format and put new firmware on my 500 gb external and use it as my main memory source. It sounds ridicules but would it be possible?

Trying to play movies on my Samsung Q1, without having to purchase the bulky DVD Player... Also, will this even work???

Firstly, i have a Sony "TINY" Micro Vault USB Memory Pen Drive 2GB which can be compressed to 6GB. now i want to know how to compress it to 6GB.
please tell me.
when i opened it up to see the files, ( by the way, My 2ND Oldest Brother gave this to me. ), there was files and as well as that, there were 2 files saying "VirtualExpander_flashdemo1.02.01 (WW)", this is the first file and the second file says "VirtualExpander_v103".
i clicked on the first file and they just showed what compress is and that you can make it to 6GB.
and when i clicked the second file, there was a text saying "Please run with proper OS".
i have no idea what that is and need help compressing to 6GB.
please tell me what i can do to mae it to 6GB and how to compress it to 6GB.

is there a way when adding a usb pen drive or Memory Card it can assigned to a specific drive letter. Automatically.
Not go to the lowest drive letter.
Maybe have a boot record on the pen drive or memory card?
