I am looking at buying a canon rebel XTI from someone. They are selling it because they bent a pin in it and don't want to mess with it (must be nice to spend that much on something and not have to care) Any way I want to know if I can buy a replacement and install it myself. I am buying the camera for $200, I've read that to send it off to Canon would cost $150-$200 to have them fix it. I have also heard that you can bend the pin back sometimes (no often....but worth a try) any one have any advise.
Thanks in advance.
I shot 150 photos on my Nikon using compact flash card, and I see the photos on the camera but when I try to download using usb reader, I cannot open the card drive, it tell me card is not formatted do I want to format card? How do I get these pics off my card like they appear while in the camera?

No according to this review if you look under "Inputs and Outputs" down the page, but if that's the biggest issue you can buy a CF to USB converter for about ten dollars so unless it was super important I wouldn't let it sway your decision.
I have a new PC with a built in card reader. But it just won't recognise crads over 2Gb. I am running VIsta
I bought a max media dock for my nintendo DS i have a CF card reader when i put my CF card in the reader and put it in the computer it makes that noise when i plug it in
But when i try to access it in my computer it does not come up it says in the properties on device manager it is at Location 0 i have tried disk manager and it is not there so my questions are:

I have a SD memory card reader that pluggs in to the USB port and the SD memory card plugs into the memory card reader, my question is would it hurt if i just pulled out the memory card out of the memory card reader without stopping the USB device (card reader)
